Montréal, October 22, 2009 – Each year, the Régie du logement informs citizens of the indexation of the fees for filing certain proceedings, in accordance with section 2 of the Tariff of costs exigible by the Régie du logement (R.R.Q., 1981, c. [ R-8.1, r. 6 ]).
As of November 1st, 2009, the costs, rounded off to the nearest dollar, will be as follows:
- for replacing on the roll a case struck off the roll or for a motion to reopen a hearing, the cost will increase from $32 to $33;
- for an application for a ruling on a change in the lease, for the fixing, revision or a decrease of rent, for contesting an adjustment or re-establishment of rent, for the revision of a decision of the court or for an application including a decrease in rent :
o where the rent is of $350 or less, the cost will increase from $40 to $41;
o where the rent is more than $350 but not more than $600, the cost will increase from $50 to $51;
o where the rent is more than $600, the cost will increase from $65 to $66;
- for an application other than the applications referred to above, the cost will increase from $65 to $66;
- for an application for authorization to convert an immovable to divided co-ownership, the cost will increase from $160 to $163 for each dwelling.
