This program is offered from September to March and admits families on a modest budget, tenants or owners. The Econologis program proceeds in two steps.
Visit and minor works
First of all, the first step relates to the visit of an adviser and a technician in energy efficiency who will give useful recommendations to save on heating, on hot water, on household appliances and on lighting. The technician will be able to also proceed for free to the establishment of certain concrete measures, such as the isolation of the windows, the installation of thresholds and cold-cuts to the bottom of the doors, the insulation of the electrical connectors located on walls giving to the outside, the installation of a shower head to reduce flow, the adjustment of the temperature of the water-heater, the addition of a ventilator to the taps and the installation of fluocompact bulbs.
Installation of electronic thermostats
Once step 1 is completed, it is possible to ask for the installation of electronic thermostats by a professional. This service can be offered to the families using electricity, fuel oil, natural gas or propane as principal forms of energy for heating.
The cost of this work and installation is assumed by the Agency for Energy Efficiency.
Among the criteria of admissibility, a dwelling can only be visited once in the last 5 years. The Agency for Energy Efficiency also specifies that an agreement must be taken between the owner and the tenant before the visit if the request was made by the tenant.
Let us recall that Econologis was set up in 1999 and has already made it possible to more than 62.000
