A situation which is completely different in Victoria where contractors of this region have been forced to decrease their prices considerably (-3,5 %), with an important deceleration of the market.
« In Quebec City, the growth rate over 12 months has set itself at 6,8 %, whereas in Montreal prices have increased by 1,8 %. Strong demand for plots of land available in Quebec City has kept prices high in 2009 comparatively to prices noted in 2008 », reveals Statistics Canada.
