The total value of the rolls of evaluation of the agglomeration of Quebec City continues its growth.
Over the period 2010-2011-2012, the value continues to grow and reaches more than 52 billion on September 13, 2010.
The rolls contain 169.344 units of evaluation now. In 2009, the region of Quebec City was classified among the five most powerful metropolitan agglomerations in Canada. The Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) had also announced a moderate growth of the price of the houses in 2010.
The growth is constant since the municipal fusions of 2002. The agglomeration then counted 151.841 units of evaluation and 236.492 residences for a value of 25.285.961 575 $. Nearly 27.000 new residences were created since this date, which confirms the vitality of the real-estate development in the agglomeration. The Quebec economy is doing well. The municipal administration affirms that this growth is not directly dependent on a rise of taxes.
In Quebec City, the rise in the values is 2,79% since last year. At l’Ancienne-Lorette, the growth is 1,59%, whereas it is 3,45% in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures.
The triennial rolls of evaluation 2010-2011-2012 were deposited on September 15, 2009 and use as date of reference July 1, 2008 for the inscription of the actual value of each building.
