Rénoclimat® is an energy-saving renovation program for homes offered by the Agence de l’efficacité énergétique.
- The program starts with an energy efficiency advisor who comes to your home to evaluate its energy performance.
- Then the advisor provides you with an evaluation report that will help you identify the renovations to prioritize to improve the comfort level of your home and reduce your energy bill.
- Once the work is completed, the advisor will return to your home to validate the improvement of your home’s energy performance. You can then choose to participate in the Rénoclimat® financial assistance program and receive an amount which may vary based on the nature of the renovation work completed, and in many cases, on the surface area of the work.
Eligibility criteria
You are eligible to participate in the Rénoclimat® program if:
- you own a single family house (semi-detached or row house), a duplex or triplex*, regardless of the energy source used by your heating system**;
- your home is habitable year round.
