D-Day: Dialogue is always preferred

D-Day: Dialogue is always preferred

Even if technically, the lease ends on June 30th at midnight, no landlord will evict his tenants in the middle of the night. It is still necessary however that the tenant is aware that he must vacate the premises as quickly as possible, because he is no longer the tenant.

The tenant who leaves must make every effort to vacate the dwelling quickly. Awareness and notification will be required.
The lack of cooperation of the former tenant could be an irritant. It must therefore be remembered that the purpose of the day is to allow the new tenant to move in!

Here are a few tips:
• Retrieve all the keys from the former tenant;
• Change the lock for each new tenant;
• Clearly indicate where the waste and recycling rooms are;
• Tell them the waste collection days.

So, staying calm and finding solutions are the priorities of the day!
