The 11th edition of the APQ Rent-setting Clinic! 

It all started on February 3, 2015 with the goal of providing better support for rental housing owners. Many did not know how to use the TAL calculation form or how to determine if an invoice is for maintenance or major work. 
 
And, despite the pandemic, we have offered this clinic every year since 2015, because our desire to be there for the rental housing owners is our sincere motivation! 
 
This year we will be going back to our beginnings by offering a ”vintage” version of the popular APQ Rent-setting Clinic: No registration for calculations, first come, first served! 
 
New this year, OPEN TELEPHONE LINES to answer your questions.

Only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, for all rental housing owners and managers in Québec, member or not, call 514-382-9670 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and get answers to your questions from experts in rental law.

  • Conferences from 10:30 a.m

Attend the conference of Me Martin Messier, President of the APQ and lawyer, who invites you to do your calculations at the same time as he during this interactive conference. Be careful to bring your computer, iPad or tablet to do your calculations, and your invoices. 
Time: 10:30 a.m. live, don't be late! 
 
1:30 p.m.: Sewer backup, flooding,... How to find your way around the calculation of the increase. 
2:30 p.m.: Write a notice of modification to the compliant lease (Bill 65’s new obligations!)

  • Zoom Rent Increase Calculation Help

Available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. continuously, first come, first served. Last registration at 3:30 p.m. 

You must call 514-382-9670 to register for the day. 
 
You will be given a time and you will receive the Zoom login link for the time of your calculation, easy and fast. 

A quick reminder, to do your calculations, you must have the following invoices on hand :

- Municipal Taxes (2024 and 2025) 
- School Taxes (2023-2024 and 2024-2025) 
- Insurance as of Dec. 31, 2024 AND Dec. 31, 2023 
- Electricity bills from January 1, 2024 to Dec. 31, 2024. 
- Gas bills from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. 
- Oil bills from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. 
- Maintenance bills incurred from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. 
- Management fees from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. 
- Invoices for repairs and major work relating to the entire building from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. 
- Major work related to a specific dwelling from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
